Officially Founded in September of 2012, The Ivy Team is New York and New Jersey’s first college preparation concierge service. The Ivy Team is comprised of Ivy League alums and current students; each member of The Ivy Team has successfully traversed the college application process, gained admittance to several Ivy League schools, and has had their pick of Ivy League schools. Furthermore, several of members have attended two Ivy League schools. Thus, each member has insider’s knowledge of the college application process and is able to successfully identify and cultivate the traits of students that will be most attractive to top colleges.
A college prep (preparation) concierge service specializes all aspects of the college preparation process. More than just offering tutoring and standardized test preparation, a college prep concierge service closely follows the progress of its students throughout the years, steers their students through the college preparation and admission process, and helps their students get admitted to top colleges. Students of The Ivy Team want for nothing (college-related).
Importantly, The Ivy Team reduces the anxiety and uncertainty that students and their families feel during college preparation and College application coaches, by offering expert advice, exceptional guidance, and extraordinary tutoring and mentoring services.
To this end, The Ivy Team offers Comprehensive, All-inclusive (College Prep) Packages.Comprehensive Packages are yearly packages that include unlimited tutoring, monthly meetings with a member of The Ivy Team, bi-yearly consultations with assigned four person Ivy Team, constant college strategizing and advisement, and constant,personalized support. Packages are tailored depending on the year.
The Ivy Team evaluates students’ portfolios, suggests and implements changes to boost students’ college competitiveness so that they can gain entry to the top colleges. With the acceptance rate of top colleges averaging less than 15%, it is harder than ever to be accepted, and, unfortunately, just having good grades is no longer sufficient. Students need to differentiate themselves from the many other students who also have good grades and scores.The Ivy Team are experts at identifying the particular strengths, talents, and experiences of students that would be most valued by colleges and presenting them in a manner that maximizes the chances of admission. The Ivy Team, whose members have attended at least one Ivy League school (many have attended two), are experts differentiating themselves from their peers and at getting into the most selective schools in the Nation. They exploit this knowledge to help their students do the same.
The Ivy Team offers personalized programs for students depending on the grade level and college selection of each student. The Ivy Team offers a wide array of package options that includes combinations of tutoring and test preparation, essay brainstorming and editing, long-term strategic planning and positioning, internship attainment, interview preparation, and more. Comprehensive packages include unlimited tutoring for the entire school year to maximize grades and GPA, early standardized test selection and preparation to maximize scores, and frequent meetings with members of The Ivy Team to continually assess progress and implement changes throughout the year. Unlike other college consultant services, The Ivy Team consists of current students and recent alums of Ivy League tutors. The Ivy Team has the advantage of having the most up-to-date knowledge of what is desirable to the top colleges; the youngest member of The Ivy Team completed the application process just over a year ago and is currently a sophomore at Columbia University. With the drastic changes in the application process over the last ten years and the sharp increase in applicants, only those who have recently navigated the process can truly understand the nuances of what top colleges are looking for today as opposed to many years ago.

Finally, most college consultant services are run by one, maybe two consultants; The Ivy Team is a team of several consultants with first hand, recent knowledge of how to get in to the top schools. Each member has successfully traversed the college application process, gained admittance to several Ivy League schools, and has had their pick of Ivy League schools, not just on the undergraduate level, but
also at the postgraduate level. All decisions and recommendations made by
The Ivy Team are a collaboration of many experts, rather than just the opinion of one.
The earlier students begin to prepare for college admissions process, the higher their chances are of being admitted to top colleges. Therefore, The Ivy Team works with students from as young as 3rd grade and up. The Ivy Team offers standardized test preparation and tutoring for middle school and high school entrance exams, such as SHSAT, SSAT, and NYC Gifted and Talented Tests.
The Ivy Team also works with high school students. Ideally, The Ivy Team works with freshmen and sophomores to identify early strengths and talents and to maximize college competitiveness. The Ivy Team also works with juniors as they navigate the most important year of the college preparation process and with seniors as they prepare and submit their applications.
Finally, having being admitted to Ivy League graduate programs and medical schools, The Ivy Team members also offer GRE and MCAT tutoring.
