Hi! My name’s Andy and I started tutoring just over a year ago when I graduated from Yale as an English major. My specialties are English and writing, and I have four years of experience editing college-level work (articles, essays, reviews); I also teach test prep (SAT, GRE, ACT) and other humanities subjects like history and art history. I like to take a collaborative and listening-based approach with my clients, so I know exactly where you’re having difficulty and would like to improve. I’ve taught a wide array of students, including ESL high schoolers and public and private school students, so I can match your needs and lend you a sympathetic ear wherever you are. Outside of tutoring, I write on a freelance basis, as well as copy-editing and proofreading for different publications. For me, tutoring is a way of applying real-life skills and talents of mine to teaching and helping others. I look forward to working with you!
