Hi, my name is Brian and tutoring has always been my favorite form of teaching, from helping my little sister with her homework to helping my peers in middle and high school with essays and coursework. During my own college applications process, I was glad to help over thirty peers refine their application essays. At Cornell, I worked at the John S. Knight Institute for Writing in the Disciplines as a writing tutor to help make writing that paper a little less scary, meeting with students of different backgrounds, disciplines, and learning styles.
I believe the best tutoring is achieved through an open, collaborative dialogue between tutor and tutee that allows for as many questions, ideas, and explanations as needed. I have extensive experience employing a personalized, patient approach to tutoring, and I am confident I can adapt my teaching style to any learning style.
