I began tutoring math in high school, and worked as a peer and high school subject tutor in math and physics in college. I’ve written a study guide for AP Calculus, tutored SATs one-on-one, helped coach a Science Olympiad team, and worked in the math resource center as a graduate student.
I like to work with students to understand their goals so that I can help tie in what might otherwise seem like busywork. My extensive math coursework has helped me learn to see problems in multiple ways, so if a student is having difficulties with a particular technique I am able to adapt the lesson and find a new way to explain the material. I have a passion for the sciences that I hope to share with other students.
I’m currently finishing up my Master’s in Medical Physics at Columbia and plan to practice medical physics. In the meantime, I run, read, and volunteer.
