Short Bio: Having worked as a tutor for the past two years for various tutoring companies such as Frontier Tutoring (Anchorage, Alaska), Chegg Inc., and Varsity Tutors, I’ve successfully helped students overcome their academic struggles and achieve their educational goals. An example of my tutoring success is when I helped one of my students at Varsity Tutors maintain straight A’s in her AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics courses, and I also helped her score very high on the ACT, which allowed her to get into prestigious universities such as Dartmouth College. My effectiveness as a tutor stems from the fact that rather than focusing on what students are having difficulty understanding, I first identify why they’re struggling with a concept. By doing so, I am always able to convey difficult concepts to my students in a way that best caters to their learning style.
As of now, my post-graduation plan consists of attending graduate school in either Japan or the U.S to conduct research in solar fuel cells, wind energy, and/or biofuels to help expand knowledge in the renewable energy field. Outside of tutoring, I am part of an a cappella group on campus called Nonsequitur, and I also love running, lifting weights, and playing the piano/drums/guitar.
